I’m Eric, welcome to my site!

I am a woodworker, primarily focused on woodturning.  I strive to bring my own voice, style, and perspective to this unique art form.  Seeking to balance form and functionality, I like to create work that can be used – whether a bowl for serving, a hollow-form that can be complimented by dried flowers, or a vase that incorporates a glass vessel to accommodate live flowers.  Woodturnings should be pleasing to both view and to hold.  This requires a focus not only on shape and finish, but also on selection of wood.  I aim for enticing colors, unusual grain patterns, burls, spalting and even interesting defects which can sometimes be presented as curious and appealing features.
